SMEDA and PMYP Forge Partnership to Boost Support for Young Entrepreneurs

Islamabad: The Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority and the Prime Minister’s Youth Programme have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to establish a structured framework of collaboration. The agreement aims to enhance outreach, awareness, and access to financial and business development support for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises, as well as aspiring young entrepreneurs across Pakistan.

According to Radio Pakistan, the MoU was signed in Islamabad, with Prime Minister’s Advisor on Industries and Production Haroon Akhtar Khan and Chairman Prime Minister’s Youth Programme Rana Mashood Khan witnessing the ceremony. This partnership will enable the two organizations to share data on rejected loan applications, including the reasons for rejection, to facilitate analysis and identify areas requiring further support.

Both organizations have agreed to ensure enhanced visibility of the Prime Minister’s Youth Business and Agriculture Loan Scheme. This will be achieved through dedicated information slots and reciprocal links on their respective websites, providing greater access to valuable resources for young entrepreneurs.
