Soneri Bank Announces Lost Share Certificates, Alerts Pakistan Stock Exchange

Karachi: Soneri Bank Limited has reported the loss of multiple share certificates pertaining to two of its folios, with an alert issued across the Pakistan Stock Exchange to prevent unauthorized trading. The bank disclosed this development today, confirming the misplacement of certificates linked to Folio Numbers 15459 and 25966.

The lost certificates, reported by THK Associates (Private) Limited, concern shares primarily held under two distinct folios with substantial share quantities. According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the certificates span several sequential numbers, indicating a potentially significant impact on the involved shareholder’s portfolios.

For Folio Number 15459, certificates numbered from 582747 to 582752 have been reported lost, encompassing distinctive numbers from 412839666 to 412841034. These documents represent a total of 969 shares, listed under addresses in Moenabad Extension and Model Colony, Karachi.

Folio Number 25966 reports a smaller batch of lost certificates, with numbers ranging from 589509 to 602857. This set represents 1340 shares, with distinctive numbers extending from 414294185 to 904833626.

The bank has urged all members of the exchange to refrain from dealing in these shares until a period of 7 days has passed from the notice. If no objections are raised, Soneri Bank will proceed with the issuance of duplicate certificates to the rightful shareholders.
