South Sudanese Lawmakers Visit Islamabad to Strengthen Parliamentary Ties

Islamabad: A delegation of lawmakers from South Sudan began a three-day official visit to Islamabad on Monday, aiming to bolster parliamentary relations and explore mutual interests with their Pakistani counterparts.

According to a statement by Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the delegation from the Transitional National Legislative Assembly of South Sudan is led by Nathaniel Oyet Pierino. Their visit follows an invitation from Speaker of the National Assembly, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq.

Throughout their visit, the South Sudanese legislators are scheduled to meet with key Pakistani officials, including Speaker Sadiq, Deputy Speaker Syed Ghulam Mustafa Shah, and Deputy Chairman of the Senate, Syedaal Khan. These discussions are expected to enhance parliamentary diplomacy and expand bilateral relations in various sectors.

In addition to these meetings, the delegation will engage with prominent political figures and government leaders, with the aim of further solidifying the relationship between South Sudan and Pakistan.
