Islamabad: The Law Minister, Azam Nazeer Tarar, announced that the second meeting of the Special Parliamentary Committee tasked with nominating the next Chief Justice of Pakistan is scheduled for tonight in Islamabad. This crucial gathering follows an initial session that saw limited attendance due to the absence of members from the Sunni Ittehad Council and PTI.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Minister Tarar emphasized the importance of a two-thirds majority vote within the committee to confirm the nomination. The decision process aims to ensure a robust and consensual approach to selecting a key judicial figure who will lead the Supreme Court of Pakistan.
