Stock Market Surges as KSE Indices Climb with Increased Trading Activity

Karachi: The Pakistan Stock Exchange saw significant gains as both the KSE30 and KSE100 indices climbed and trading activity increased. The KSE30 rose by 655.86 points, closing at 49,735.93, while the KSE100 surged by 1,496.04 points to end at 163,188.53.

The trading session marked a notable increase in market activity, with turnover figures showing a rise from the previous day. Regular market turnover reached 636,408,304, up from 590,535,756, while traded value ascended to 30,919,710,199 from 22,150,316,753.

In the deliverable futures contracts, turnover increased to 491,196,000 from 387,493,000, and traded value significantly rose to 31,016,427,895 from 17,551,087,155.

The stock market’s capitalization also experienced growth, with current figures at 18,512,904,457,653, compared to 18,416,952,628,972 previously.

The indices experienced fluctuations during the session, with KSE30 reaching a high of 49,791.82 and a low of 48,718.32. KSE100 saw a peak at 163,397.24 and dipped to 160,564.86.

The market’s upward movement is likely to be closely watched by investors and analysts as trading continues.
