Karachi: In a significant boardroom shift, Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) has appointed Mr. Zafar Abbas as a new director following the resignation of Mr. Hassan Mehmood Yousafzai. The change was ratified during the company’s 626th board meeting on September 09, 2024.

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), Mr. Yousafzai’s departure from the board and Mr. Abbas’s subsequent appointment were both effective immediately on September 09, 2024. The reason behind Mr. Yousafzai’s resignation was not disclosed in the announcement.

Mr. Abbas, stepping into this pivotal role, is anticipated to bring fresh perspectives to the board’s strategy and operations amid the ongoing challenges and opportunities within the energy sector.
