Karachi: Supernet Limited, a key player in Pakistan’s telecommunication sector, has successfully obtained Fixed Local Loop (FLL) licenses from the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) for a span of 20 years, starting October 22, 2024. These new licenses will enable the company to expand its services across all 14 telecom regions in Pakistan, building on its previous Class Value Added Services (CVAS) license which expired on the same day.
The FLL licenses represent an upgrade over the previous CVAS permissions, allowing Supernet to deploy its own infrastructure more extensively and offer enhanced services to its customers. According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), this strategic expansion is anticipated to foster increased revenues and profit margins for the company.
Issued in compliance with Sections 96 and 131 of the Securities Act, 2015, and Clause 5.6.1.(a) of the PSX Rule Book, the disclosure marks a significant milestone for Supernet, underpinning its commitment to technological advancements and service excellence across Pakistan. The company has detailed this development in a formal disclosure to the PSX, ensuring all procedural compliances and market transparency.
This licensing enhancement is set to provide a substantial boost to Supernet’s operational capabilities, enabling it to reach a broader customer base and deliver superior telecommunication services. The move is aligned with the company’s long-term strategy to dominate the telecommunications landscape in Pakistan.
