Suspension of Trading in Bank Alfalah’s Term Finance Certificate Announced

Karachi: Bank Alfalah Limited has declared a temporary suspension of trading for its Term Finance Certificate (TFC), specifically the [BAFLTFC6], in anticipation of its upcoming 13th profit payment. The trading suspension will commence on September 10, 2024, and extend through September 25, 2024, with trading set to resume on September 26, 2024.

The announcement indicates that the Book Closure, which is the period during which new investors cannot register to receive the profit payment, will occur from September 11, 2024, to September 25, 2024. This measure ensures the accurate distribution of profits to registered certificate holders.

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), this temporary halt in trading is designed to facilitate the smooth processing of the profit payment to investors of the TFC. Bank Alfalah has advised all concerned parties to take note of these dates to align their trading activities accordingly.

This trading suspension is a routine financial procedure meant to prevent any discrepancies in profit allocation during the closure period. Investors and stakeholders in the [BAFLTFC6] are expected to adjust their trading strategies around these dates to accommodate this temporary halt.
