Sustainable Tourism Forum Set to Elevate Pakistan’s Tourism Prospects

Karachi: A two-day Sustainable Tourism Forum, organized by the Islamic Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI), and the Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation, is scheduled for January 30, 2025, in Karachi. The event will feature the Governor of Sindh as the Chief Guest.

According to a statement by Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry, the forum has attracted participants from countries including Turkey, Iran, Jordan, Singapore, Indonesia, Oman, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Azerbaijan, Egypt, Iraq, and Burkina Faso. An Iranian delegation led by the Governor of Iran is also set to attend.

The President of FPCCI emphasized the importance of sustainable tourism practices that focus on environmental conservation, social responsibility, and economic benefits for local communities. The forum aims to enhance Pakistan’s tourism industry, create jobs, and stimulate economic growth. Key topics for discussion include sustainable tourism development and cultural heritage preservation.
