Karachi, January 18, 2017 (PPI-OT): LG Electronics (LG) took the stage at CES 2017 to unveil its newest top-of- the-line LG SIGNATURE OLED TV W as the pinnacle of its new line-up of flat-panel TVs at CES 2017. Featuring Dolby Vision TM and Dolby Atmos TM sound, the new line-up includes a total of ten different models, highlighted by the 2017 CES Best of Innovation Award winner, the 77-inch LG SIGNATURE OLED TV W exemplified by its Picture-on- Wall design.

The LG 2017 OLED TV line-up, consisting of models 77/65W7, 77/65G7, 65/55E7, 65/55C7 and 65/55B7, will continue to live up to its unrivalled ability to reproduce the most lifelike images of any TV product with perfect blacks, infinite contrast and an expanded colour gamut. The company’s latest OLED TVs are built on this foundation of excellence and come with a number of new cutting-edge features designed to transform the TV into a comprehensive entertainment hub. LG’s 2017 OLED TVs feature the amazing blade-slim design of the B7 and C7 series, Picture-on- Glass design of the E7 and G7 series and the unique Picture-on- Wall design of the newest W7 series.

The innovative design of the W7 series follows LG’s “less is more” philosophy, stripping away everything to emphasize the beauty of the screen alone. The W7’s sleek razor-thin profile makes the TV appear to be levitating in mid-air, adding to the sense of immersion. The OLED panel, measuring only 2.57mm thin in the 65-inch model, can be mounted directly on the wall with only magnetic brackets, eliminating any gap between the TV and the wall. The sense of immersion is completed by up-firing speakers and unrivalled Dolby Atmos sound. This design of the W7 series invites the illusion of gazing out a window, not of watching TV.

The W7 OLED TV series builds on LG OLED’s revolutionary pixel dimming control technology, which renders perfect black without any light leakage to offer a limitless contrast ratio, with one billion possible colours.

What’s more, all LG’s 2017 OLED TVs use ULTRA Luminance technology to deliver greater brightness where needed.

Leveraging the high dynamic range (HDR) technology that powers Dolby’s most advanced cinemas around the world, Dolby Vision elevates the home TV viewing experience by delivering greater brightness and contrast as well as a fuller palette of rich colours. Dolby Atmos puts viewers inside the action with rich sound that fills the entire room – even the space overhead – with powerful, moving audio that flows around the audience. Dolby achieves this by isolating the relative location of each sound to create incredibly intricate audio that is as rich and multi-layered as the real world.

As the first TV in the world to offer Dolby Atmos, 2017 LG OLED TVs can deliver content with both cutting-edge imaging and state-of- the-art sound technologies simultaneously, creating an entertainment powerhouse. Together, Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos deliver a comprehensive solution supported by professional content creators and distributors the world over. Over 80 studio titles are compatible with Dolby Vision and more than 100 titles are currently available for Dolby Atmos, with 25 available in both formats. What’s more, over 100 hours of original content is available in Dolby Vision across leading OTT providers worldwide and soon consumers will have access to Dolby Vision titles on Ultra HD Blu-ray disc, with anticipated availability in 2017.

The W7 series and all LG 2017 OLED TVs feature Active HDR for displaying next-generation HDR content designed to render brighter scenes and greater shadow detail. Active HDR allows LG TVs to process the picture frame by frame, inserting dynamic data where needed. This technology allows the TV to offer the best picture even if the original HDR content contains static or no metadata at all. And all of LG’s 2017 OLED TVs support the full palette of HDR formats, including Dolby Vision, HDR10, HLG (Hybrid Log Gamma) and are ready to support Advanced HDR by Technicolor technology. This versatility is compounded by the new HDR Effect feature which processes standard definition content frame-by- frame to improve brightness in specific areas, enhance contrast ratios and render more precise images.

Featuring the latest version of LG’s intuitive webOS smart TV platform, version 3.5, viewers will have no trouble accessing premium HDR content online. Karachi, December 20, 2016 (PPI-OT):Already an industry leader renowned for integrating cutting-edge technology into its premium, high-resolution monitors, LG Electronics (LG) is pushing the industry to the next level with plans to introduce a HDR-compatible 32-inch UHD 4K monitor at the 2017 Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas next month.

The availability of HDR content continues to expand, covering a wide range of fields from movie to games. The enhanced picture quality offered by HDR technology is instantly recognizable to even the most casual user and manufacturers are already pushing this promising technology to its fullest potential. To stay one step ahead of the rapid proliferation of HDR content, LG’s 32-inch UHD 4K monitor (model 32UD99) with 3840 x 2160 pixels supports the HDR10 standard, which delivers enhanced brightness levels and a wide colour gamut image. Compatibility with the HDR10 standard increases the monitor’s peak brightness, enabling users to edit movies and photographs much more comfortably.

In addition, the 32UD99 is equipped with an IPS panel and displays over 95 percent of the DCI-P3 colour space, making it ideal for media content creators of all expertise who will appreciate features such as True Colour Pro for colour reproduction accuracy unmatched in the industry. What’s more, the LG Mobile+ Monitor application allows for the control of many of the monitor’s settings such as input, volume, aspect ratio, PBP/PIP, etc. remotely and conveniently.

Also on display in Las Vegas alongside LG’s UltraFine™ 5K and 4K displays will be LG’s 34-inch 21:9 UltraWide gaming monitor (model 34UC99), equipped with AMD FreeSync technology, 1ms Motion Blur Reduction, Dynamic Action Sync, Black Stabilizer and other features to maximize the PC gaming experience.

Karachi, December 06, 2016 (PPI-OT): LG Electronics (LG) announced that Seong-jin Jo, the head of its Home Appliance and Air Solution (H and A) Company and one of the three Representative Directors responsible for key decisions of the entire organization, has been promoted to the position of sole Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately. Mr. Jo’s responsibility will extend across all of LG Electronics’ business units including the H and A Company, Mobile Communications, Home Entertainment and Vehicle Components and oversight of over 120 operations around the world.

Mr. Jo (60), joined Goldstar in 1976, becoming part of the team which developed LG’s first automatic washing machine in 1980. Prior to becoming president of the H and A Company in 2015, Mr. Jo was the head of LG’s H and A washing machine division. In 2007, Mr. Jo received the Bronze Tower Order of Industrial Service Merit from the Korean government in recognition of his valuable contributions to the development of new technologies and Korean industry. More recently Mr. Jo was instrumental in LG’s move into premium appliances with the introduction of the LG SIGNATURE brand and built-in Signature Kitchen Suite as well as building the foundation for future businesses in the areas of IoT and smart homes.

The Board of Directors of LG also promoted Dae-hyun Song (58), currently head of the CIS Region and president of LG Russia, to president and CEO of the Home Appliance and Air Solutions Company, replacing Mr. Jo. A 33-year veteran of LG Electronics, Mr. Song has been involved on the business side of nearly every major product line of the H and A Company, including air conditioners, refrigerators and cooking appliances. As head of Russia and CIS since 2012, Mr. Song was responsible for successfully growing LG’s business in the region during an economically challenging period.

In addition to the promotions of Messrs. Jo and Song, five others were promoted to executive vice presidents, thirteen executives were named senior vice presidents and thirty-eight individuals were made new vice presidents. New roles and responsibilities take effect today, Dec. 1, 2016, with promotions going into effect on Jan. 1, 2017 after the general meeting of shareholders.
