Faisalabad: Chairman Pakistan Ulema Council Hafiz Tahir Mahmood Ashrafi has called for collective efforts to counter extremism and foster a peaceful environment in the country. Addressing the media in Faisalabad on Sunday, he emphasized the role of religious scholars in guiding the youth and urged them to use their platforms in discouraging narratives that propagate hatred or division.

According to Radio Pakistan, Ashrafi highlighted the importance of unity among different religious communities to create a harmonious society. He urged religious leaders and scholars to actively participate in initiatives that promote peace and understanding.
