Tahir Ashrafi Pledges Protection of All Places of Worship

Farooqabad: Chairman of the Pakistan Ulema Council Hafiz Tahir Mahmood Ashrafi has stated that the protection of places of worship is the prime responsibility of the government. Speaking to media representatives in Farooqabad, Sheikhupura, he emphasized that no one will be permitted to alter the legal status of any mosque, temple, gurdwara, or dharamshala.

According to Radio Pakistan, leaders from various schools of thought and religions recently visited a dharamsala in Sheikhupura, where a dilapidated wall had collapsed. During this visit, leaders of the Sikh community expressed their gratitude for the goodwill gesture shown by the visitors.
