Tanveer Stresses Agriculture’s Role in Pakistan’s Economic Stability.

ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for National Food Security Rana Tanveer Hussain has emphasized the crucial role of Pakistan’s agricultural sector in the country’s economy. Addressing the Sustainable Development Conference in Islamabad, the Minister highlighted the need for modern technologies to combat climate change.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the Minister pointed out that Pakistan ranks 5th globally in vulnerability to climate change. As a key stakeholder in the agricultural sector, the Pakistan Agricultural Research Council is urged to adopt innovation and new technologies to address these challenges.

He also underscored the importance of adopting modern technologies, such as satellite imaging and Geographic Information Systems, to improve agricultural productivity and efficiency.
