Tarar Urges United Efforts to Combat Child Labour

Islamabad: Minister for Human Rights Azam Nazeer Tarar has emphasized the need for collective efforts to eradicate child labour from society. Speaking at a ceremony in Islamabad, held in connection with World Day against Child Labour, he underscored the importance of raising awareness about children’s rights.

According to Radio Pakistan, the Minister stated that the Child Protection Institute has been established to safeguard children’s rights. He also highlighted the launch of a dedicated helpline, 1121, in the Islamabad Capital Territory, which enables citizens to report any mistreatment of children.

He stressed that ensuring children’s well-being and guiding them toward becoming productive members of society is a shared responsibility.
