Ten Police Personnel Martyred in Terrorist Attack in Hangu

Islamabad: Ten police personnel, including a Deputy Superintendent of Police, were martyred and thirty-three others injured when terrorists attacked a police check post in Hazina Banda area of Hangu district last night.

According to Radio Pakistan, several terrorists were also killed in the attack. President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif have strongly condemned the terrorist attack by Fitna al-Khawarij on a police check post in Hangu district.

In their separate statements, they expressed profound grief and sorrow over the martyrdom of the Deputy Superintendent of Police and other police personnel. Commiserating with the bereaved families, they prayed for the departed souls.

The President and the Prime Minister reaffirmed the government’s firm resolve to eliminate terrorism in all its forms from the country.
