Territorial Violation to Be Met with Firm Response: Army Chief

Rawalpindi: Army Chief Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir has reiterated that Pakistan seeks regional peace and stability, asserting that any violation of its territorial integrity, whether direct or indirect, will be met with a firm and decisive response to safeguard the lives and well-being of its citizens. He made these remarks while interacting with participants of the 17th National Workshop Balochistan.

According to Radio Pakistan, Field Marshal Munir emphasized that Balochistan is the pride of Pakistan, endowed with vibrant, resilient, and patriotic people who are considered the true wealth of the region. He highlighted the development initiatives by the Federal and Provincial governments aimed at uplifting the socio-economic landscape of Balochistan through a people-centric approach and stressed the importance of realizing the province’s immense economic potential for the benefit of its people.

The Army Chief acknowledged the constructive role of civil society, particularly in engaging and empowering the youth, and underscored their pivotal role in sustainable development. He cautioned against vested political agendas and emphasized the importance of long-term prosperity in Balochistan.

Field Marshal Munir addressed the threat posed by Indian-sponsored proxies, Fitna al Hindustan and Fitna al Khawarij, which propagate anti-people and anti-development agendas with the intent to perpetrate violence. He reaffirmed that all necessary actions are being taken to pursue these terrorists and rid the province of this menace.
