Three-Day Alhamra Sufi Festival 2025 Set to Begin in Lahore

Lahore: A three-day Alhamra Sufi Festival 2025 is set to start from the 28th of this month at the Lahore Arts Council Alhamra.

According to Radio Pakistan, the festival will continue until the 30th of November and will commence with a grand calligraphy exhibition titled ‘Whirling Lines of Sufi Wisdom.’ This exhibition aims to showcase the intricate relationship between art and Sufi teachings.

The festival’s opening day will also include a conversation on the life and teachings of Wasif Ali Wasif, a renowned thinker and spiritual mentor. This session, titled ‘Youth, Intellectual Challenges,’ will explore the impact of Wasif’s teachings on contemporary intellectual discourse.

On the second day, the festival will turn its focus to regional mystical literature with a discussion titled ‘Tradition of Punjabi Sufi Poetry and Its Message for the Youth.’ This session aims to highlight the enduring relevance and messages of Punjabi Sufi poetry for today’s youth.

The festival will conclude with a dialogue on ‘Sufism’s Influence on Society and Its Relevance for the Youth Today,’ offering insights into how Sufi teachings continue to shape societal norms and values in contemporary times.
