Three Pakistani Crew Members Rescued from Hijacked Tanker

Islamabad:The three remaining Pakistani crew members of the hijacked oil tanker MT Honour 25, which was seized off the coast of Somalia, have been successfully rescued.

According to Radio Pakistan, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar announced that the crew members—Imran Ali, Muhammad Yasin, and Syed Husain Yousuf—have been flown to Addis Ababa with assistance from the Embassy of Pakistan in Djibouti.

They are expected to travel to Karachi on the first available Ethiopian Airlines flight, anticipated on Wednesday. The Deputy Prime Minister expressed gratitude to the Somali Government and the European Union Naval Force Operation Atalanta for their help in securing the crew’s release.
