AJK Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider Khan says tourism corridor will usher a new era of tourism in the state.
He was addressing the inaugural function of tourism complex in Muzaffarabad on Monday.
The Prime Minister said road network is being improved across the AJK to attract maximum tourists. All required facilities are being provided to the tourists under public private partnership.
He directed the tourism department to make arrangements for informing tourists on all entry points. A display center of local products will also be setup at Kohalla entry point.
Raja Farooq Haider Khan also directed the department to improve services and tourist’s rest houses and guest houses besides protecting historical places of the state.
On this occasion, Director General Tourism Sardar Javed Ayoub gave a detailed briefing to the Prime Minister and said welcome booth are being setup at all entry points while information centers have been setup for the tourists.
He said eco tourism is being promoted at tourist’s resorts while smart card is also being issued to the tourists on entry points.
