Tribal Elders Pledge Support for Government’s Peace Initiatives in Peshawar

Peshawar: A grand Jirga convened at Bala Hissar Fort in Peshawar has seen tribal elders affirm their support for the government’s peace efforts in the region, particularly in Khyber District. They committed to working alongside security forces to counter threats and maintain stability.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the gathering underscored the active role of the Pakistan Army, Frontier Corps North, and other law enforcement agencies in maintaining peace within the district. Officials highlighted the necessity of public awareness to counteract any propaganda efforts by disruptive elements.

During the Jirga, tribal leaders expressed their intention to collaborate with the Pakistan Army to ensure the ongoing peace and security in the area. They reiterated their commitment to standing united with the government and security forces in eliminating threats to the district’s stability.
