Turkmenistan Deputy Chairman Commends Pakistan’s SCO Summit Leadership

Islamabad: Turkmenistan’s Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Rashid Meredov, met with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, highlighting the robust bilateral relations between Turkmenistan and Pakistan. The discussion took place on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) meeting, where Turkmenistan was a special guest.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Rashid Meredov expressed Turkmenistan’s congratulations to Pakistan for successfully hosting the SCO Heads of Government Meeting. He also conveyed good wishes from the Turkmen leadership to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. The Prime Minister welcomed Turkmenistan’s participation and stressed the historical and fraternal ties between the two nations, emphasizing the importance of enhancing high-level exchanges to strengthen cooperation in trade, energy, and regional connectivity.

Rashid Meredov reiterated Turkmenistan’s commitment to fostering stronger and closer relations with Pakistan, underlining the shared goals and mutual benefits of increased bilateral cooperation.
