Turkmenistan’s Deputy Chairman Meets Pakistani Prime Minister to Boost Bilateral Ties

Islamabad: Today, at the sidelines of the ongoing SCO Council of Heads of Government (CHG) meeting in Islamabad, Mr. Rashid Meredov, the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, met with Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif.

According to Press Information Department, the meeting focused on strengthening the longstanding and historical relationship between Pakistan and Turkmenistan. Prime Minister Sharif highlighted the importance of Turkmenistan’s role as a ‘Special Guest’ at the SCO CHG meeting and expressed a desire to enhance high-level diplomatic exchanges to boost trade, energy, and connectivity. Mr. Meredov lauded Pakistan’s hosting of the SCO CHG meeting and reiterated Turkmenistan’s commitment to deepening ties with Pakistan through increased cooperation and connectivity.
