Two Militants Killed, One Captured in Joint Operation in Swat

Law Enforcement Agencies conducted a joint intelligence-based operation in the Charbagh area of Swat District during the night of October 4 and 5. The operation resulted in the killing of two militants, including the ring leader Atta Ullah, also known as Mehran, following an intense exchange of fire. Another militant was apprehended in injured condition. According to Inter Services Public Relations, Atta Ullah was involved in several terrorist activities in the region, including the Improvised Explosive Device (IED) attack on a police vehicle escorting a convoy of foreign dignitaries on September 22, 2024. Security forces are continuing to sanitize the area in coordination with law enforcement agencies to ensure the complete elimination of any remaining militants.

The operation is part of the ongoing efforts to eradicate terrorism from the country.
