UN Envoy, Law Minister Discuss Efforts to Combat Islamophobia

Islamabad: UN Special Envoy to Combat Islamophobia Miguel ngel Moratinos called on Minister for Law and Justice Azam Nazeer Tarar in Islamabad to discuss global efforts to combat Islamophobia and strengthen cooperation on human rights.

According to Radio Pakistan, the discussions focused on enhancing collaborative efforts to address the growing concerns of Islamophobia worldwide. Minister Tarar emphasized the importance of the United Nations’ initiatives in tackling religious intolerance and highlighted these efforts as crucial steps towards achieving global peace and understanding.

During the meeting, Minister Tarar expressed Pakistan’s commitment to promoting religious freedom, interfaith harmony, and peaceful coexistence. He reiterated the country’s dedication to working with international partners to uphold human rights and combat discrimination based on religion.
