UN Releases $600,000 for Flood-Affected People in Pakistan

Islamabad: The United Nations has released six hundred thousand dollars for relief of the victims of deadly flash floods triggered by heavy rains in various areas of Pakistan.

According to Radio Pakistan, the UN Spokesperson Stephane Dujarric informed reporters at the regular briefing that Pakistani authorities are taking appropriate measures with support from the United Nations and local partners.

Meanwhile, a team of UN officials is expected to conduct a survey to assess flood damages tomorrow.
