Islamabad: A high-level United Nations delegation led by Under Secretary General for Humanitarian Affairs and Emergency Relief Coordinator, Tom Fletcher, visited the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) Headquarters in Islamabad. The delegation was received by Chairman NDMA, Lieutenant General Inam Haider Malik.
According to Radio Pakistan, the United Nations delegation praised Pakistan for its adoption of a modern disaster management system and its proactive preparedness measures. This visit underscores the importance of international collaboration in enhancing disaster management capabilities and highlights Pakistan’s efforts in implementing robust systems to respond effectively to emergencies.
