UNSG Praises Pakistan’s Role in Facilitating Islamabad Talks

Islamabad: UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has appreciated Pakistan’s constructive role in convening the Islamabad talks and commended Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar’s efforts in advancing regional peace. To convey his appreciation, he today telephoned Ishaq Dar. The Secretary-General also expressed the UN’s full support to Pakistan’s continued efforts in this regard. Ishaq Dar reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to promoting dialogue and diplomacy for peace and stability in the region.

According to Radio Pakistan, the conversation between the UN Secretary-General and Ishaq Dar underscores the importance of diplomatic engagements in fostering regional harmony. The UN leader’s acknowledgment highlights Pakistan’s proactive approach in facilitating discussions aimed at resolving regional tensions.
