Victim is daughter of Kashmir and all are on one page: Moosvi

Srinagar, May 14, 2019 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, senior APHC leader and Anjuman Sharie Shian President, Agha Syed Hassan Al-Moosvi Al-Safvi has said that there are certain elements who are trying to create a sectarian wedge in the territory.

Agha Hassan Al-Moosvi in a statement issued in Srinagar while condemning the rape of a minor girl in Sumbal area of Bandipora said, the victim is the daughter of Kashmir society and all are on the same page with regard to this heinous crime. “Yes, there are elements who are keen to see sectarian divide but we should remain watchful and defeat their designs,” he cautioned.

He said that all segments of the society are protesting against this unfortunate incident. “Everyone wants accused to be punished as per law. Nobody supports or advocates him. We as a society have responsibility to bring moral order and spread the light of love and brotherhood,” he said and appealed to the people to sabotage the designs of those who want to create sectarian wedge for their benefits. He also condemned the use of force on protesters in different parts of Kashmir.

Meanwhile, Kashmir Economic Alliance (KEA), Kashmir Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) and CCIK in their statements also expressed shock over the rape of a three-year old girl.
