Wafi Energy Pakistan Reports Surge in Profit as Expansion Efforts Pay Off

Karachi: Wafi Energy Pakistan Limited (WEPL) has announced a significant improvement in its financial performance for the first nine months of 2025, reporting a profit after tax of PKR 3,030 million. This marks a substantial increase from the PKR 724 million profit recorded during the same period last year.

The company attributes this growth to its continued focus on operational excellence, sustainability, and community impact as it completes its first year in Pakistan. Key initiatives include the expansion of its Shell-branded retail network, which saw the commissioning of 28 new sites and the addition of 12 Shell Select stores across the nation.

In a move to promote environmental sustainability, WEPL launched its second eco-friendly Shell fuel station in Rawalpindi. Built using 7,700 kg of recycled plastic in collaboration with Concept Loop, this project follows the success of Pakistan’s first retail site constructed with recycled plastic and a road made from recycled lubricant cans in Karachi.

The company has also introduced the New and Improved Shell V-Power, a premium fuel designed to enhance vehicle performance. Meanwhile, its lubricants business continued to grow in both consumer and industrial markets, bolstered by strategic partnerships in the mining, transport, and construction sectors.

WEPL has demonstrated a commitment to social responsibility by collaborating with the National Disaster Management Authority to supply fuel for relief efforts during recent floods. The company has strengthened its internal preparedness and response frameworks to ensure workforce safety and operational resilience.

Wafi Energy Pakistan remains committed to its goals of operational excellence, sustainability, and positively impacting the community as it continues to build its presence in the country.
