Woman Tied to Tree and Burnt Alive in Tripura by Family Members

Agartala: In a horrifying act, a 55-year-old woman named Minati Debnath was tied to a tree and burnt alive in West Tripura district, allegedly by her own family members.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the brutal incident took place in Champaknagar, where Debnath was allegedly murdered by her two sons, Ranabir Debnath and Biplab Debnath, along with Biplab’s wife. Local police have arrested the trio and plan to present them before a court to obtain police custody for further interrogation.

This shocking case has underscored severe familial and societal issues within the community, prompting an immediate response from law enforcement to investigate the motivations behind this gruesome crime and to ensure justice for the victim.
