Work on construction of 69MW Lawai hydel power station in full swing

In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, work on the construction of Lawai hydel power station in Chitral is in full swing.

In an interview with Radio Pakistan Peshawar correspondent, Spokesman of Pakhtunkhwa Energy Development Organization told that the power station will be completed at a cost of twenty-two billion rupees by 2022.

He said on completion, it will generate sixty-nine megawatts electricity.

The spokesman said that the Chitral has the potential to produce two thousand and nine hundred megawatts electricity from hydel resources.
