World Day Against Trafficking in Persons Focuses on Online Scams

Islamabad: World Day Against Trafficking in Persons is being observed today to raise awareness about the plight of human trafficking victims and to promote and protect their rights.

According to Radio Pakistan, the theme for this year’s observance, “Trapped Behind the Scam,” highlights the growing threat of human trafficking linked to online scam operations run by transnational organized crime groups. These scams have become a significant tool for traffickers, exploiting victims through deceptive online schemes.
