World Food Day Ceremony Highlights Commitment to Ending Hunger in Loralai

Loralai: The University of Loralai hosted a significant event in observance of World Food Day, organized by the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO). Commissioner Loralai Division Saadat Hasan attended as the chief guest, alongside Pro Vice Chancellor Dr. Adeel, FAO’s Assistant in Islamabad Miss Maria Usman, FAO Team Leader Dr. Abdul Razzaq, Dr. Rahim Niazi, government officers, university administrators, students, and local farmers.

According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Balochistan, the ceremony sought to emphasize the importance of preventing, detecting, and managing food hazards to enhance food security and contribute to human health, economic well-being, agriculture, market access, tourism, and sustainable development. Commissioner Hasan addressed the attendees, urging a collective pledge to ensure safe, nutritious, and affordable food for every citizen. He highlighted the ongoing journey toward a hunger-free and healthy Pakistan and underscored the need for collaboration across various sectors to achieve the goal of ending hunger by 2030, aligning with the broader purpose of World Food Day.
