World Maritime Day Highlights Global Efforts for Ocean Protection

Islamabad: World Maritime Day was observed on Thursday across the globe, including Pakistan, focusing on the importance of shipping safety, maritime security, and the marine environment.

According to Radio Pakistan, this year’s theme, “Our Ocean, Our Obligation, Our Opportunity,” emphasizes the collective responsibility and potential opportunities in safeguarding oceanic resources. In his message marking the occasion, Minister for Maritime Affairs Muhammad Junaid Anwar Chaudhry called for urgent international efforts to protect oceans, underscoring the critical need for collaborative actions to preserve marine ecosystems and enhance maritime safety measures.
