World Oceans Day Highlights Need for Sustainable Ocean Management

Karachi: World Oceans Day is being observed today. The day is observed to raise awareness about the importance of oceans and encourage actions for their sustainable management.

According to Radio Pakistan, the purpose of observing this day is also to inform the public about the impact of human actions on the oceans and how to sustainably manage these for future generations.

The theme of this year is “Reimagine: Beyond the world we know, a new relationship with our ocean”, which invites people to change the way they see and care for the ocean.
