World Ozone Day Observed to Highlight Ozone Layer Protection

Islamabad: World Ozone Day was observed on Wednesday to highlight the importance of public awareness in protecting the ozone layer for both human and environmental sustainability on earth.

According to Radio Pakistan, in 1994, the United Nations General Assembly proclaimed 16 September as the International Day for the Preservation of the Ozone Layer. This initiative aims to accelerate global efforts for the protection of the ozone layer.
