New York: On World Cities Day, the United Nations has highlighted the critical role of young people in advancing climate action and shaping the future of urban areas.

According to United Nations Pakistan, cities, home to more than half of the global population and responsible for 70 percent of worldwide greenhouse gas emissions, are central to the climate crisis. The organization emphasized the importance of harnessing the energy and vision of youth in driving change in urban settings.
