ZahidJee Textile Mills Reports Loss of Share Certificates Totaling 892 Shares

Karachi: ZahidJee Textile Mills Limited has announced the loss of multiple share certificates owned by Mrs. Alrida Shaheen, totaling 892 shares. The lost certificates were reported on October 22, 2024, necessitating a notice to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) and initiating a cautionary hold to prevent unauthorized trading.

The certificates in question span several series, with folios 0007532 and certificate numbers ranging from 92451 to 92459 and 353112 to 353113. These shares, from distinctive number ranges including 9429401 to 9429500 and 126656902 to 126657006, represent a significant portion of Mrs. Shaheen’s holdings.

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the company has initiated a 07-day objection period during which other market participants are advised not to deal in these shares. This safeguard is in place to prevent the trading of potentially disputed shares and protect the financial and legal integrity of both the shareholder and the stock market.

Should no objections be raised within this seven-day period, ZahidJee Textile Mills Limited is prepared to issue duplicate certificates to Mrs. Shaheen, ensuring her holdings remain intact and correctly documented. This measure is part of broader protocols to manage the risks associated with lost or stolen share certificates, critical to maintaining orderly market operations and shareholder confidence.
