Ziarat Resident Completes Ph.D. in Zoology, Reports Significant Scientific Discovery

Ziarat: Dr. Qaiser Khan Kakar, a resident of Sandeman Tangi village in Ziarat district, has successfully completed his Ph.D. in Zoology from the University of Balochistan, marking a significant milestone in his academic journey.

According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Balochistan, Dr. Kakar’s research led to the first-ever discovery of a fly species called Gonia Ornata, which was documented in the Biodiversity Data Journal. His research holds promise for future understanding of insect pests, offering insights into pest control and biodiversity management.

Dr. Kakar credited his success to the unwavering support of his parents, teachers, and the International Barcode of Life Canada, which provided valuable assistance in his research. His work has already sparked international interest through three scientific dialogues, underscoring the global relevance of his findings.
