1,000 youth get jobs in country’s first ever Job Fair

Lahore, March 09, 2014 (PPI-OT): As many as 1,000 proficient youth got their jobs in the Country first ever Job Fair organised here at the Expo Centre under the banner of the Punjab Youth Festival (PYF) 2014.The Job Fair was arranged under the auspices of the Sports Board Punjab (SBP), Rozee.pk and Punjab Information and Technology Board (PITB) to provide the suitable job opportunities to Youth of the country.

Administration officers of different companies, keeping the abilities of the applicants and requirements of their companies in notice, conducted interviews before hiring the potential youngsters. Over 40,000 jobless males and females from across the country attended the job fair.

More than50 companies including PTCL, Microfinance and Educators were there to offer various jobs to aspiring people. The successful candidates thanked the Punjab Government for providing reasonable platform for Honourable employment.

Talking to media, Provincial Minister for Sports and Education Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan said that it was a huge achievement in the history of the country to conduct such a big job fair. The establishment of job fair is the first step to end the unemployment crisis in the country. The Punjab Government is making solid planning to create more job opportunities for the jobless youth of the country, he concluded.
