Lahore, February 08, 2016 (PPI-OT): Provincial Minister for Forests, Wildlife and Fisheries, Malik Muhammad Asif Bha Awan has said that arrangements have been completed with regard to Spring Tree Plantation Campaign 2016 and decision has been taken in principle to plants 12 million saplings this year. He was talking to media men at Assembly Chambers, here today.
The Minister said that one crore 80 lakh saplings are available at Forest Department nurseries and 212 sale points. He said that targets are being fixed for tree plantation at government forests, private land and Defence institutions. He said that tree plantation campaign will be started in the province simultaneously with the federal government.
