60,000 Daily Wagers Rally for Job Regularization in Jammu

Jammu: A massive turnout of over 60,000 daily wagers in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir marked a significant protest demanding the regularization of their employment status.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the demonstration was organized by the Employees United Front, which called on the administration of Omar Abdullah to honor its commitment to regularize the positions of daily wage workers. The protesters assembled to voice their longstanding grievances regarding their employment conditions.

Hoshiar Singh, a prominent figure within the front, warned that the protests would intensify if their demands continued to be overlooked. He highlighted the group’s prolonged struggle under inadequate compensation and uncertain job conditions. “We’ve struggled for 30 years with meager pay, and it’s time for change,” stated Singh.

The demonstrators also expressed their discontent with the previous government’s failure to address their needs, despite having been given repeated assurances of action.
