Pakistan Night in Dubai Showcases IT Sector’s Growth Potential

Dubai: The Pakistan Association Dubai hosted “Pakistan Night,” a networking event as part of GITEX Global 2024, aimed at fostering connections among tech professionals and highlighting opportunities within Pakistan’s IT sector.

According to Press Information Department, the event featured the presence of notable figures including H.H Sheikh Mana Bin Muhammad bin Rashid Al Maktoum as Chief Guest, with Ghanim Al Falasi, Senior VP of entrepreneurship and innovation at Dubai Silicon Oasis among other dignitaries. Pakistan’s Ambassador to the UAE, H.E. Faisal Niaz Tirmizi, thanked Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum for supporting such initiatives that elevate Pakistan’s tech profile globally.

He highlighted the collaborative efforts of the Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication, Pakistan Software Export Board, Pakistan Software Houses Association, and the Special Investment Facilitation Council in strengthening the nation’s IT industry. Ali Zeb Khan, Trade and Investment Counsellor in Dubai, encouraged global IT leaders to engage with Pakistani companies during GITEX, where 24 Pakistani exhibitors are showcasing innovations and digital solutions at the Pakistan Pavilion. The event underscored the significance of international cooperation in driving Pakistan’s IT sector forward.
