Accountant General of Sindh calls on Sindh Governor

Karachi, March 11, 2014 (PPI-OT): Accountant General of Sindh, Shaikh Muhammad Ashraf called on Sindh Governor Dr Ishrat Ul Ebad Khan on Tuesday here at the Governor House and briefed him on the financial assistance extended to drought-hit areas of Tharparkar by Sindh Government.

He also presented details of the accounts for the fiscal year 2012-2013 , of developmental expenses and of other financial issues, said an official statement. The Governor , appreciating the Accountant General’s efforts, said that the persisting situation in Tharparkar district of Sindh is a grave human tragedy.

He said that Sindh Government has been trying its best in saving the human lives in Thar and he cautioned that no negligence will be tolerated in the relief operations. Besides the government, the army, NGOs and philanthropists are actively participating in these operations.
