Administrator Karachi reviews development works

Karachi, August 20, 2015 (PPI-OT): Construction work on the underpass being constructed at Nazimabad No.1 roundabout was resumed on the directive of KMC Administrator Shoaib Ahmed Siddiqui. Under the new PC-1 this project has been planned to be completed in four months with the revised estimated cost of Rs450million. Administrator Karachi during his visit to ongoing development projects on the night intervening Wednesday and Thursday inspected the works of Nazimabad No.1 Chowrangi flyover.

On this occasion while talking to media representatives he said this has been an important project of the city and that’s why work on it was initiated on war footing basis and would be completed in a short time of four months. He said like Mehran Underpass this project would also have latest construction technology. Already 20 percent work of this project was completed.

He thanked the contractor for resuming work on this project despite the decrease in the PC-1 cost by Rs80millin and also promised to finish it in four months. Administrator Shoaib Ahmed Siddiqui said work on all development projects of the city was going on now on round the clock basis to complete these projects on time. He said it has been decided that payment for those projects would be made early where work has been done quickly.

On the visit of Mehran Underpass Administrator Karachi said very soon the Chief Minister Sindh would inaugurate this project. He expressed satisfaction on the work of this project and said that it was a big achievement of director general technical services and other KMC engineers to complete this project without disturbing the traffic around this site.

Inspecting the construction work of Jam Sadiq Bridge he expressed hope that this project would be inaugurated on 19th September. It was necessary to finish this project on time due to the importance of the industrial area. Administrator Karachi also went to the Malir 15 Flyover where he reviewed the work and directed to speed up it further.
