Affiliation of FATA Olympic Association with the Pakistan Olympic Association is Eid gift: Federal Minister

Islamabad: “Affiliation of FATA Olympic Association with the Pakistan Olympic Association is a Eid gift for the youngsters of Pakistan in general and for the FATA in particular”. Engr. Shaukat Ullah.

The Federal Minister for SAFRON, Engr. Shaukat Ullah was elected as a President of the newly FATA Olympic Association and Mr. Shahid Shanwari its General Secretary alongwith other cabinet members of the Association.

On this occasion, the Federal Minister said that for the new Olympic Association, a proper office should be established either in Pakistan Sports Board, Islamabad or Qayyum Sports Stadium, Peshawar. He said that minimum Rs. 200 million is projects in this trouble tribal area and this will be a great source of inspiration for the people of these marginalized area when they got their own sports Olympic Association.

The Minister said that sports and like activities will play area, “this will make the tribal society tolerant and sportsman spirit will prevail in the society which will work as shield against terrorism”. The Minister said. He also requested that the international donor agencies and the investors who want to invest in sports will get a very friendly environment for their investment in the area.

The Minister conclude that this Olympic Association is an Eid gift for the youngsters of FATA after the amendments in FCR.

The Federal Minister for SAFRON has extended thanks to the President, Pakistan Olympic Association Gen. Retd. Syed Arif Hassan and Secretary General Khaliq Khan and Provincial Minister for Sports of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Syed Aqil Shah upon their help in registration of FATA Olympic Association.
