After movie, communal Indian filmmaker now comes up with controversial series on Kashmiri Pundits

Srinagar, July 22, 2023 (PPI-OT):After the controversial movie ‘The Kashmir Files’, communal Bollywood filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri has now launched a new series ‘The Kashmir Files Unreported’. The ‘The Kashmir Files’ evoked sever criticism for the representation of distorted facts about the exodus of Kashmiri Hindu Pandits from the Kashmir Valley of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir in 1990s.

The mass displacement of the Kashmiri Pandits was orchestrated by the then Governor of IIOJK, Jagmohan Malhotra, to launch a massive crackdown against the Kashmiri Muslims to punish them for challenging illegal occupation of their homeland by India. India’s leading OTT platform ZEE5 launched the trailer of the series, ‘The Kashmir Files Unreported,’ in Srinagar on Friday. Vivek Agnihotri claimed that this 7-part series will bring to fore the “unreported truths” about the exodus of Kashmiri Pandits from the Kashmir Valley. It is to mention here that politicians and political experts and analysts had severely criticized ‘The Kashmir Files’ movie, saying that it was made with the sole purpose of creating communal tension between Hindus and Muslims in India and to malign the Kashmiri Muslims.
