Agha Hassan Condemns Killing of Three Muslims in Uttar Pradesh

Srinagar: The President of Jammu and Kashmir Anjuman Shari Shian, Aga Syed Hassan Al-Moosavi, has condemned the killing of three Muslims in Sambhal, Uttar Pradesh, holding the state government accountable for the incident. He criticized the police for alleged discriminatory practices against Muslims.

According to Kashmir Media Service, Agha Hassan, in a statement from Srinagar, accused the Uttar Pradesh state government of responsibility for the killings, asserting that the police’s actions have resulted in the loss of innocent lives. He further criticized what he described as the government’s neglect of constitutional rights, noting that the constitution ensures equality and protection for all citizens.

Agha Hassan also raised concerns about a judicial order for a mosque survey, warning against any attempts to change the status of religious sites for political purposes. He emphasized the importance of safeguarding the 1947 status of religious places.

The killings have provoked widespread outrage, with calls for justice and an end to policies perceived as discriminatory against Muslims in India.
