Ahsan Calls for Provincial Development Action Plans to Address Socio-Economic Needs

Islamabad: Minister for Planning Development and Special Initiatives Ahsan Iqbal has urged the provinces to develop and share their respective action plans for Socio-Economic development. He made this call while chairing the 5th meeting of the Prime Minister’s Committee on the Socio-Economic Domain in Islamabad.

According to Radio Pakistan, the Minister specifically encouraged Balochistan province to expedite its action plan for submission to the APEX Committee. Ahsan Iqbal emphasized the importance of reframing the national narrative around areas prone to conflict.

He highlighted that targeted interventions would begin with select districts in Tribal areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan. These efforts will focus on youth development, entrepreneurship, alternative livelihoods, and macro-level socio-economic empowerment.
