Ahsan Iqbal Chairs Review Meeting on P3A Collaborative Projects

Islamabad: Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal chaired a meeting in Islamabad with the Public-Private Partnership Authority to evaluate progress on key public interest projects. On this occasion, he directed the Director General of Pakistan Airports Authority to expedite the outsourcing process for airports.

According to Radio Pakistan, the Minister also instructed the Secretary of the Special Investment Facilitation Council to prepare a focused agenda to review the timelines of projects signed with investment-friendly countries. He directed relevant officials to make a commercialization plan for railway stations land, suggesting that railway stations can be turned into an effective source of revenue by providing public use entertainment and shopping facilities.

Ahsan Iqbal further instructed relevant officials to make actionable plans for reviving religious and cultural tourism to the Gandhara region and Kartarpur corridor.
